Avishek Karmakar, PhD
Research and Developmental Scientist, GenHydro Inc Postdoc (2021 - 2022), Drexel University Panelist for 'Dual Career Panel' Dr. Avishek Karmakar did his PhD from India in 2017 in Inorganic Chemistry from IISER Pune and then moved for first postdoctoral tenure at the National University of Singapore. He then moved to the US in early 2021 for his second postdoctoral tenure at Drexel University. Throughout his PhD and postdoctoral career, Avishek’s research has focused on porous inorganic-organic materials for applications related to clean energy and green environment. He has achieved some key findings related to water purification, carbon-capture, H2 purification and other energy-based applications. Avishek also serves as the editor and reviewer for various internationally acclaimed journals. |
In mid of 2022, he joined as a gas separation scientist at GenHydro and since then he has been working at their R&D facility to make “carbon-free” hydrogen for clean energy applications.
